my 23rd year

FILED IN: Uncategorized

Life is beautiful, isn’t it?

Each year of my life is a milestone, a reminder of how much I’ve grown as an individual and moments I look forward to experiencing in the upcoming years.

To wrap my mind around the idea I’m twenty-three today is beautiful, crazy, and hard to believe. Where does this time always seem to disappear to? Either way: I’m grateful.

twenty-three things I’ve learned:

hair-1-of-1

1 – Smile more, it WILL make you a happier being. (I have smile wrinkles, its okay.)

2 – Dogs are a gals best friend. Ask me if you’re not convinced.

3 – Photos are precious, take more.

4 – Your mother is always right.

5 – Challenge yourself to new things, or people.

6 – Read books, all types of books.

7 – Do not stress the small stuff, be grateful, look for the positive. There is positive in any situation.

8 – Good people stick together.

9 – Coffee as well as coffee creamer are both equally important

10 – Needles, anything pointy, still terrify me. There is no changing that.

11 – Inspire yourself, and find people or things that inspire your daily life as well.

12 – Go travel, don’t think too much, just do it.

13 – Love is wildly beautiful. Every bit of it.

14 – Do life with passion. Relationships, work, creative endeavors.

15 – Try new things, this has been so great for me this past year.

16 – Say “yes” to more things.

17 – A little brother is the best kind of friend.

18 – Make time to nurture relationships and friendships.

19 – Practice more mental meditation. (working on this one myself.)

20 – Go get your fresh air everyday, it’ll make you feel whole.

21 – You can never have too many candles.

22 – Never apologize for being your authentic self.

23 – Each trip around the sun keeps getting better and better.

~I could not be more excited for another~
