Where to even begin?! Carmel/ Monterey/ Big Sur has been on the list of must-sees for Gene and I for a while now, and wow – it lives up to the hype!
We always like to get away for our anniversary and this year we decided to stay closer to home due to all the Covid-19 fun. Flying in and out of San Francisco was relatively pain free, very quiet, and extremely sanitary thanks to Delta!
The highlight of our trip (other than spending four magical years together!) was partnering and staying at the beautiful La Playa Carmel. This is a gorgeous, historic artists retreat hotel right in the heart of Carmel.
From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warmth and kindness from the staff, the beautiful ocean views (from our room!) and an incredible bar + restaurant right at the hotel.
I cannot recommend staying here enough. We are already planning our next trip back to the area – and I cant wait to visit La Playa when we go back.
